Role Overview

As a Product Developer at SAYSKY, you will be at the heart of creating our performance-driven collections, turning creative ideas into innovative, functional running apparel. You’ll be responsible for the product development from concept to production, ensuring the designs meet SAYSKY’s high standards for quality, functionality, and craftsmanship. 

Your role will involve turning technical specifications into great designed products including sourcing cutting-edge materials, managing sample development, and collaborating closely with suppliers to deliver products that align with SAYSKY’s brand identity and vision. 

Key Responsibilities

• Create performance-driven products in collaboration with the rest of the design team.

• Develop detailed tech packs with precise specifications, measurements and construction details.

• Ensuring all product data is up to date in our system.

• Ensure technical specifications align with SAYSKY’s design and quality standards, production capabilities, and timelines.

• Source fabrics and materials that meet functional, aesthetic, price and sustainability requirements.

• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to recommend ideas that align with the design direction.

• Manage sample development, providing feedback to suppliers for accurate execution.

• Address technical challenges during the development and production phases.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in product development in the performance apparel category.

• Expert level in Adobe Illustrator. Proficient in Excel.

• Demonstrated ability to create detailed tech packs including BOM’s.

• Excellent understanding of garment construction, fabric functionality/characteristics and production processes.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English.

• Proactive and driven mindset and collaborative attitude, with a strong ability to work within deadlines

Flexibility to scale work efforts based on seasonal sales and buying cycles.
