Role Overview
As the Buying Manager at SAYSKY, you will be responsible for ensuring every aspect of procurement and logistics to ensure timely and seamless operations from start to finish. Your expertise in negotiating favorable terms and optimizing costs will directly impact SAYSKY’s ability to deliver premium products to runners worldwide.
In this role, you’ll oversee the end-to-end buying process, including, supplier agreements, and inbound logistics – it will requiring meticulous attention to detail and a holistic approach to operations.
You’ll work closely with our Production and Sales teams to meet timelines, avoid delays, and optimize inventory levels. This is the perfect position for someone who thrives on strategic thinking, excels in detailed organization, and is driven by the opportunity to hands-on contribute to a fast-growing brand.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute buying strategies that secure the best pricing and terms while maintaining uncompromised quality.

Negotiate with suppliers to optimize costs, maximize value, and strengthen relationships.

Analyze cost breakdowns for each style to ensure competitive and sustainable pricing.

Collaborate with fabric mills to negotiate fabric pricing based on order volume and growth forecasts during the greige booking process.

Work closely with the Production and Sales teams to ensure accurate and timely order placements, avoiding delays in the supply chain.

Optimizing logistics, ensuring timely and cost-effective shipping (with a focus on reducing the environmental footprint), optimizing freight costs, and tracking shipments to align with product launches and retail deadlines.
Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in buying, procurement, and supply chain management, preferably within the fashion or technical apparel industry.

A detail-oriented mindset with the ability to take full ownership of procurement and logistics processes, ensuring no detail is overlooked.

Proven negotiation skills, with a track record of securing favorable terms with fabric mills, garment makers and other suppliers.

Knowledge in how to optimizing costs and driving business growth.

Familiarity with tools for analyzing stock and sales data, with high proficiency in Excel and preferably experience with Business Central.

Strong knowledge of procurement strategies, supply chain management practices, and inventory tracking systems.

Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English.

Passion for detail, with a solution-oriented mindset and a drive to identify opportunities and implement improvements.

Proactive with a driven attitude and a strong commercial mindset.

Willingness to travel occasionally to visit suppliers and oversee quality assurance.
